Welcome to the web log for the Environmental Ethics course at Cedarville University. As a student in the course, you will have opportunity to respond with short comments when your professor posts content on a given topic. Please keep in mind the following rules:

  • Grammar — Use complete sentences, punctuation, capitalization, and paragraphing as appropriate for a formal written essay.
  • Length — Limit your comments to 250 words and no more than 2-3 paragraphs.
  • Focus — Address a central point that relates to the question at hand; you may make a substantive critique of another student’s prior comment.
  • Citation — You may use direct quotes from your reading or other sources, but use sparingly if at all.
  • Evaluation — Each comment will be scored as follows:  < 3 points = major deficiency in focus, length, or grammar;  4 = minor deficiencies;  5 = meets all expectations.
  • Timeline — You must enter at least one comment per post before the class deadline, normally 8:00 am on the day of class that your entry is due.
  • Location — When you are ready to enter your comment, select the “Leave a Comment” link below the post to which you are responding. Enter your first name and e-mail address, then your comment and click on “Submit Comment.”
